“The Hobbit” now available in Gaelic!

The Hobbit has been translated into Gaelic, called An Hobad, no anon agus ar ais aris.

Almost seems right… right?

This gives me (and all of us) one more reason to learn the Irish language!

“…if you’ve a reasonable level of Irish you should be able to read it,” Dr. Titley (the editor) says.

This is the first time that The Hobbit has been translated into Gaelic, and even better, many of Tolkien’s original illustrations will be included.

You can purchase the book from Amazon.com here.

Thanks to TheOneRing.Net for this story and Joe.je for the original article.
